Srav Puranam was born in Detroit and raised in the Bay Area. She received a BS in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a MD and ScM in Population Medicine from Brown University. She is currently pursuing her residency training in both pediatrics and anesthesia at Stanford and is building her research interests at the intersection of these two fields.
