biography
Andrew is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering researching real-world applications of data science and machine learning in healthcare. Prior to studying at Stanford, he received his Bachelor’s degree in EE from Princeton. In the Anderson Lab, his current research focuses on leveraging large national datasets to answer clinically relevant questions regarding chronic pain and opioid use after surgery, as well as predicting adverse outcomes using machine learning. More broadly, he is interested in designing large-scale analytic and machine learning systems which can be operationalized to improve both quality and cost of healthcare.
