biography
Negin graduated from Stanford with a B.S. in Bioengineering and M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2017 and 2018 respectively, with a focus on electronic design and digital signal processing, especially as applied to medical imaging systems. Throughout her 5 years on the Farm, she held various scientific research roles spanning MRI-based quantitative neuroscience at the Gotlib Lab, algorithm development for quantitative PET/MR at the Levin Lab, low-intensity focused Ultrasound development for peripheral neuromodulation applications at the Anderson lab, as well as dielectrophoretic single cell capture and impedimetric analysis for low-volume screening applications at Stanford’s Genome Technology Center. Since graduation in June 2018, she has joined GE Healthcare full-time as part of their rotational engineering program, where she has had the opportunity to dabble at mixed signal electronic design, advanced recon and post-processing, acoustic design, computer vision, and clinical research and post-market evidence generation throughout her 4 rotations across the MR and Ultrasound imaging segments. Upon finishing her rotational program in June 2020, she is looking forward to pursuing clinical application development roles at the intersection of industry and academia with the general theme of enabling fast and quantitative single and multi-modality dynamic imaging methods.
