Jorge is a biology major at Stanford University in his third year as an undergraduate.  His interest in anesthesia research centers around the discovery of non-opioid solutions to intra-operative pain management.  Recently, Jorge has been exploring high-frequency focused ultrasound as a potential method of modulating nerve fiber conduction in ex-vivo rat models.  After graduating, Jorge hopes to attend medical school and pursue a career in medicine as an anesthesiologist.
